Recently, Southeast University and University of Alberta in Canada signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation between the two universities through cloud signing ceremony. Liu Naifeng, President’s Assistant of Southeast University, Cen Huang, Vice President of International Affairs of University of Alberta, and relevant personnel from International Cooperation Office of the two universities and School of Medicine attended the signing ceremony.

At the ceremony, the two parties introduced the schools’ relevant situations respectively and put forward proposals for the future cooperation prospect. Southeast University and University of Alberta have a good foundation for cooperation that many SEU experts and scholars have visited University of Alberta. This signing of MoU involves visiting scholar program, student exchanges, joint scientific research, etc., which will further deepen the exchanges and cooperation in teaching and scientific research between the two universities, especially between the Schools of Medicine.

It is reported that University of Alberta is among Canada’s top 5 medical-doctoral universities with its research influence ranked 45th in the world. Its natural sciences, innovative arts, business, engineering and health sciences are highly renowned. It has four campuses and more than 40,000 students in campus, of which Chinese students account for 10%. Its medical specialty highlights great international influences in the fields of intelligent medicine, immunology, organ transplantation, neuropsychiatry, nephrology, etc.
