Recently, SEU has finished the third round of NAT for all the students and staff. During this special period of time, SEUers have displayed their strong sense of responsibility and deep love for SEU and the City of Nanjing. We interviewed several international students and let’s have a look at what they want to say to SEU and Nanjing.
The sudden outbreak of this new virus in Nanjing was terrible because it was one of the low-risk cities in China, but the response of the government, citizens of Nanjing, SEU administration and students were amazing. We all feel grateful to SEU for taking care of us at this difficult time. Once the Confucius said “Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall”. I believe this time we, the students of SEU, and citizens of Nanjing will rise again.
When I was in my home country, I used to hear a lot about one of the seven human miracles in the world, the Great Wall of China.
When I came to China, I saw the Great Wall of China three times in person.
The first time in Beijing, the second time I saw the Great Wall of China in all Chinese cities, last year during the pandemic, I saw it through the work and cooperation between the Chinese people and the Chinese government to prevent and control the virus.
And the third time I saw the Great Wall of China today in Nanjing, also through this great cooperation between the people and the government to protect the city, protect the country and protect the world.
And then I realized that the Great Wall of China, this human miracle, is not only made of stones, but the cooperation and strength between the Chinese government and the Chinese people, with all due respect to all efforts to maintain our safety.
This why I know and feel very sure that Nanjing will strive through the difficulty soon.
I want to thank my university which has been always taking care about all the students and staff during the pandemic, as they always did.
南京加油!
Verily after tribulations comes relief ... The Chinese idiom, “不经历风雨怎么见彩虹”, known as “How can one see the rainbow without experiencing storm?” in English, has definitely depicted that trials and tribulations are only temporary, and joy will follow afterwards.
Hopefully, once again, Nanjing is able of fighting against the pandemic - and as stated by the idiom, we’ll all soon encounter the bright light of victory.
南京加油!
We support the speedy, systematic, and proactive approaches for pandemic control as implemented by SEU. It's the reason why we were relatively safe here in 2020, and we believe that we are going to get it done again. 一起加油!
Frustration is an obstacle to progress. We must face up to setbacks bravely and overcome them, and only in this way can we succeed.
Let's work together to overcome all the challenges we face.
南京加油!
As a foreign student in SEU who was welcomed and found my second home in Nanjing, I will always stand with all my heart with this beautiful city, the students and staff of SEU as well as all Nanjing people, especially the healthcare workers who have been working tirelessly to keep us all safe ...
During this difficult time, I want to wish strength to Nanjing in the face of hard moments of pandemic.
I am confident that we shall overcome and be free to enjoy and celebrate good times together again very soon!
南京加油!东大加油!
The struggle you are in today is developing the strength you need for tomorrow. We are braver than we believe, stronger than we seem, and smarter than we think, together we can get through it as soon as possible.
南京加油!
China is a very strong country. After hearing about the recent outbreak, I feel very sad. It has stopped almost everything. But I still remember how we defeated the virus last year. I can see, Nanjing municipal government, after the outbreak, has already adopted very strict actions to tackle the outbreak. Citizens of Nanjing are also very supportive and helped the government in every aspect. I wish this hard time should pass soon. Hope we all be healthy.
南京加油!
It's the right time for all SEUers to make joint efforts to conquer difficulties. And we will finally get through the pandemic soon and come out stronger.
