SEU Intelligent Vehicle Team Succeeded in CIVC

From December 11th to 13th, the 2017 China Intelligent Vehicle Contest (CIVC) was held in Shanghai with the theme of Intelligence changes the world and innovation drives the future. 70 teams, coming from domestic traditional automobile enterprises, universities, research institutes and emerging Internet companies, started intense contention in four events including unmanned vehicle, intelligent auxiliary, information security and virtual scene. After a fierce competition, Chery-ZhishanTeam from Southeast University finished second in Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keeping Assist (LDW / LKA), ranked third position in Intelligent Assisted Driving Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) , and also received leading awardand application prize respectively.

Chery-Zhishan team of Southeast University was set up by Prof. Yin Guodong the School of Mechanical Engineeringat the end of 2016. Members of this team are mainly graduate students from the School of Mechanical Engineering and they all have a solid technical foundation and high-level scientific research. The team once won the leading prize in the intelligent auxiliary group of World Intelligent Driving Challenge Contest. In addition to participating in the competition, the members also combined academic research with competition. They published papers related with intelligent dive in the 2017 CIVC Academic Conference and those papers were selected into Excellent Proceedings of the 2017 CIVC Academic Conference.

ProfessorYin Guodong, as a vice chairman of Society of Automotive Engineers of Jiangsu Province and the director of the Intelligent Vehicle Professional Committee of Jiangsu Province,actively promotesthe development of the intelligent network vehicle and unmanned vehicles.The research he and his team have conducted in theintelligent network vehicle,unmanned vehicles, intelligent agricultural machinery, funded bynational key research project, as well as four-wheel drive electric car controlfundedby the key project of National Natural Science Foundation, provide a strong technical support for this contest.

The China Intelligent Vehicle Contest, held since 2016, which is sponsored by China Automotive Technology Research Center, China Association of Productivity Promotion Center and Shanghai International Automobile City (Group) Co.Ltd, and is organized by Automotive Technology Information Institute of China Automotive Technology Research Institute, National Automotive Industry Productivity Promotion Center and the National Intelligent Connected Vehicle (Shanghai) Pilot Zone, is the top of countrys science and technology events.
