All school leaders and mid-level principal cadres attended the meeting. Zuo Wei, CPC Secretary of Southeast University, President Zhang Guangjun, Managing Vice President Wang Baoping, CPC Vice Secretary Zheng Jiamao, President Assistant Liu Naifeng presentedat the main venue at Jiulonghu Campus. Wang Baoping presided over the meeting.
Zhang Guangjun pointed out that our school has actively implemented the important instructions delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping and the deployment made by the Central Party Committee, the Ministry of Education, the provincial and municipal departments concerned at various levels since the outbreak of the epidemic. Urgent symposiums have been convened for several times to carry out a series of prevention and control approaches in a rapid manner. Meanwhile, the leadership team and the corresponding working team headed by the school Secretary and the President have been established and the contingency plan has also been worked out. All the teachers and students have paid great importance and cooperated closely. At present, all prevention and control approaches have been carried out in an orderly and effective manner. President Zhang Guangjun put forward two requirements on the school’s efforts in epidemic prevention and control. On the one hand, attentions should be paid to improving the political standpoint, recognizing the severity of the status quo, accurately grasping the general deployment made by the Party and the nation in epidemic prevention and control, explaining and conveying the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions, and the general requirements proposed by the State Council, the Ministry of Education, the provincial and municipal departments concerned. On the other hand, efforts should be made to strengthen the mission, implement the work, and resolutely do well in epidemic prevention and control and emergency treatment in our school. He emphasized that the party members and leading cadres should not only shoulder the political mission bravely, but enable their thinking and actions in line with the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions, that is, considering the fight against the epidemic prevention and control as the major political task at the present time. In addition, the responsibility for epidemic prevention and control should be implemented in accordance with the work arrangements at all levels so as to guarantee the implementation of major decisions and arrangements of the Central Party Committee. In order to strengthen the party’s leadership, sense of organization and discipline in the epidemic prevention and control, Zhang Guangjun further pointed out that the epidemic prevention and control shall be detailed by classifying the group’s attributes; meanwhile, great support should be provided to Zhongda Hospital Affiliated to Southeast University for playing its key role, and active efforts should be made to develop research and development. In this sense, the party members and leading cadres should made joint efforts with great responsibility and courage to provide a strong guarantee and firm backup forcefor the life and health of all teachers and students.
Zuo Wei pointed out that the school has actively acted in response, organized and carried out prevention and control approaches in a rapid, effective and effective manner since the outbreak of the epidemic. Efforts have been devoted to implementing important decision and deployment made by the Central Party Committee and the State Council so as to guarantee the safety of all teachers and students as requested. Besides, Zuo Wei put forward several requirements: first of all, the leading cadres at all levels should enhance their awareness of the overall situation, the political awareness and the sense of responsibility. Efforts should be made to do well in epidemic prevention and control at school, guarantee the health and safety of all teachers and students, the psychological stability and the stability of campus order, which should be deemed as the most important political assignment, the most significant overall situation and the priority responsibility of the school. Meanwhile, it is also the responsibility of the school, the main leaders of all departments (colleges) and offices. Secondly, all teachers and students should invigorate their spirits and boost their confidence to win the fight against epidemic prevention and control. We must strengthen our confidence in defeating the epidemic with joint efforts to win from the comprehensive perspective. Thirdly, the leading cadres of all units must commit to their responsibilities. The principal of the party and political departments, the offices, the directly subordinated institutions and the affiliated institutions should be considered as the first person in charge, who should undertake all the responsibilities. All units must seriously and actively publicize the work requirements and the regulations on epidemic prevention and control as released by the central government and the school. All students should not to return to school in advance. Relevant information of all faculties, students and working staff should be grasped accurately and timely for full coverage. Zuo Wei further emphasized that all units should improve their political standing, take the fundamental interests of teachers and students as the top priority, shoulder the responsibility for defending the school, do well in epidemic prevention and control in accordance with the school’s deployment requirements so as to fully protect the health and security of all teachers and students, and guarantee the campus safety and stability.
At the meeting, Liu Naifeng introduced the prevention and control approaches against NCP at school.
It is reported that the school’s party committee recently released a document which requested the party organizations and the party members at all levels to thoroughly implement the important directive spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s instructions on the prevention and control of NCP, enhance the organization and leadership of the school’s party organizations at all levels in epidemic prevention and control, give a full play to the primary party organizations as the fighters’fortress and the pioneering role of all communist party members to provide a strong political guarantee for winning the battle against epidemic prevention and control.
