From 7th to 10th April, the International IEEE(Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers ) WCNC(Wireless Communications and Networking Conference) held by the state key laboratory of mobile communications of SEU’s Information Science and Engineering School was going on at Shanghai International Conference Center. It is noteworthy that it was the first time for annual WCNC to be held in China.
Prof. You Xiaohu, director of the state key laboratory of mobile communications was chairman of the great Conference, and Cheung Kong scholar Wang Jiangzhou served as Chairman of the Technical Committee. In addition, both the chairmans of the IEEE and the IEEE communications society attended the conference upon invitation and gave keynote speeches. More than 940 registered authors of the conference papers and other guests from over 50 countries attended the Conference.
The Conference received more than 1900 academic papers and accepted 840 of them, making its numbers of both submitted and accepted papers the largest in the history of WCNC. Among them, according to the classification by first author, domestic papers were 845 and overseas papers 1058; more than half of the submitted and accepted papers came from overseas research institutions and scholars.
