On the morning of May 7th, the100-day Countdown Ceremony for the Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games (YOG) was held on the campus of Southeast University.
Yang Weize, member of the Standing Committee of Jiangsu Province and Municipal Party Secretary of Nanjing, Guo Guangyin, Party Secretary of Southeast University, Xu Ning, member of the Standing Committee and Propaganda Chief of Nanjing City, Liu Bo, Deputy PArty Secretary and Vice President of Southeast University, and staffs in the Youth Olympic Organizing Committee attended the ceremony. Besides, Wu Chengzhang, a former member in China's Men's Basketball Team who attended the 1948 London Olympics, Zhong Man, an Olympic champion, citizens and teachers and students from Southeast University attended the ceremony. 
After the cheer aerobics performed by SEU students, Yang Weize awarded the ��OG Buddies Club��lag to SEU.

In the year 1924, the Inaugural Meeting of ��hina National Athletic Federation ��was held in a Chemistry classroom of Southeast University, as the China's Olympic organizing committee then, it organized four Olympic delegations in 1928, 1932, 1936 and 1948. Therefore, it is safe to call the Southeast University Campus the birthplace of Chinese Olympic career.
