On the afternoon of July, 18th, the closing ceremony of 2015 Southeast University& Tennessee University English Summer Camp was held at the Lecture Hall in Foreign Language Department, Jiu Longhu Campus in SEU. At the ceremony, many scholars from UT and SEU successively made comments for the Summer Camp. They were Dr. Pia Wood, Deputy Director of Academic Affairs from UT, teacher representative–professor Tvvi Small from UT, Wu Juan, Deputy Director of Academic Affairs from SEU, Qiu Bin, Dean of Overseas Education Department in SEU, Chen Meihua, Dean of Foreign Language Department from SEU and professor Mao Caifeng, teacher representative from SEU. Also, a drama competition was held during the ceremony.Students from five classes were divided into ten groups and played wonderful dramas. Finally, the theater group who performed The Merchant of Venice won the champion. The Summer Camp is beneficial to students in SEU as well as students in UT. On one hand, faculty and students in UT fully experienced the extensive and profound Chinese culture after enjoying the talent show and subject lecture brought about by students from SEU. On the other hand, students from SEU also improved their practical English, learned the American style multicultural knowledge and fostered international perspective. Most importantly, they all reap precious friendship.
