[Southeast University News Network, March 5] (Correspondent: SEU Publicity) Recently, the National Health Commission, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, and the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine issued a “Decision about Recognizing Advanced Collectives and Individuals in the Epidemic Prevention and Control of COVID-19 by the National Health System”. Professor Qiu Haibo, Vice Secretary of the CPC Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of Zhongda Hospital Affiliated to Southeast University, and Pan Chun, Associate Chief Physician of Zhongda Hospital Affiliated to Southeast University, were awarded the title of “Advanced Individual in the Epidemic Prevention and Control of COVID-19 by the National Health System”.
It is reported that Qiu Haibo and Pan Chun raced against the clock to assist Wuhan on January 19 and January 26 respectively to guide and participate in the rescueof critically ill patients suffering from COVID-19. Up to now, they have been fighting at the frontline for more than 40 days. On March 1, a special report on Qiu Haibo was broadcasted by the CCTVNews Network Column titled the “Namelist of Heroes Fighting Against COVID-19 at the Frontline”.
