[Southeast University News Network, April 15] (Correspondent: Dong Wei, Xiao Xuan) In order to continue to promote the epidemic prevention and control at school and the implementation of various preparations for welcoming the first batch of students, and guarantee the safety of teachers and students as well as the campus stability, Zuo Wei, Secretary of the Party Committee of Southeast University and President Zhang Guangjun inspected the three campuses including Jiulonghu Campus, Dingjiaqiao Campus and Sipailou Campus respectively from April 15 to 16 with the accompany of Managing Vice President Wang Baoping, Vice President Huang Dawei and Liu Pan, principals of relevant functional departments.
In the afternoon of April 15, the delegation of Zuo Wei and Liu Pan arrived at Dingjiaqiao Campus, checked the status quo of safety protection, logistical support, epidemic prevention and control at the classrooms and the laboratories, etc.. from the East Gate, the library, the shower room, Yilin Canteen, the students’ dormitory, the multiple-use building, the School of Medicine, the College of Public Health and relevant laboratories. They intended to get a detailed understanding of various preparations for the student’s registration back to school and responses to any emergency, the management of students’ dining, teaching arrangements, hygiene and safety management of the students’ dormitory and shower room after their return to school, etc.. Relevant departments were urged to implement and rectify any possible weak links, and spare no effort to ensure the students’ safety and the smooth progress regarding their return to school. In the course of inspection, Zuo Wei emphasized that the dining plan with shifting peaks should be further refined to guarantee smooth feeding system and avoid assembly. Considering the epidemic prevention and control should be carried out on a regular basis, measures should be adopted to solve the problem of ventilation for the classrooms and the shower room; the safety management should be well implemented for the laboratories; the information of students back to school should be mastered in a comprehensive and accurate manner; works regarding the students back to school should be arranged in a detailed and orderly manner; plans for subsequent situations should be prepared in advance so as to implement epidemic prevention and control as well as the students’ back to school in a practical and detailed way.
In the morning of April 15, the delegation of Zhang Guangjun and Wang Baoping arrived at Jiulonghu Campus for inspection and guidance. They surveyed the South Gate, the laboratories of the School of Materials Science and Engineering, the library, the Comprehensive Service Hall, the classrooms for undergraduate students, the North Gate, the School Hospital, the quarantine pointat the Youth Teachers Apartment, Juyuan Canteen and the dormitories in succession to provide guiding suggestions to the epidemic prevention and control at each checkpoint and the preparations for the start of school. In the morning of April 16, Zhang Guangjun, Wang Baoping and Huang Dawei arrived at Sipailou Campus for inspection and guidance. They checked Shatangyuan Canteen, the dormitories, the classrooms and the laboratories of the School of Electronic Science and Engineering respectively, and also provided guiding suggestions to the epidemic prevention and control at each checkpoint and the preparations for the start of school. Zhang Guangjun pointed out that the arrangements for the commencement of the first batch of students would concern the life safety and health of teachers and students. It is necessary to pay close attention to the epidemic prevention and control, strictly prevent assembly, maintain a safe distance and adopt preventive measures in an overall manner. In response to the problems found in the inspection, President Zhang Guangjun made specific guidance and deployment on the details of epidemic prevention and control, emphasizing the necessity of traffic diversion on the registration day so as to detail the epidemic prevention and control as well as emergency support to the largest extent at classrooms, laboratories, libraries, canteens, dormitories, etc. to achieve absolute safety.
